Desenrola Fies renegotiated 8,188 contracts in the Federal District

The Federal District had 8,188 contracts renegotiated at the Unroll Fies aimed at people with debts related to the Student Financing Fund (FIES).

The number is part of the most recent balance sheet from the National Education Development Fund (FNDE) and refers to the first week of April.

The balance of debt renegotiated in the Federal District exceeded R$ 385.7 million and, with just the entry value acquired in renegotiations, the return to public coffers exceeds R$ 13.6 million in the Federation Unit.

Across the country, Desenrola Fies has already benefited more than 253 thousand people. Renegotiations refer to contracts signed until 2017 and with debts on June 30, 2023.

To date, they have been renegotiated R$11.51 billion in debt, resulting in a subsequent debt balance of around R$2.18 billion. With the down payment alone, the federal government raised R$475.6 million. Discounts on many renegotiations reach 99%.

São Paulo is the federation unit with the most renegotiated contracts at Desenrola Fies so far. The state registered 48,287 contracts.
