Several entities are united in Bahia to bring help to the population of Rio Grande do Sul. There are already more than two hundred thousand people away from home, in shelters and accommodation.

Esporte Clube Bahia and Esporte Clube Vitória, both teams from Salvador, organized donation campaigns for people affected by heavy rains in Rio Grande do Sul. Furthermore, it is possible to donate through Post Office units, airlines, educational institutions and non-profit organizations (NGOs). [Confira detalhes ao final da matéria]

More than 380 municipalities in Rio Grande do Sul were affected by the floods. As of this Tuesday (7), 90 deaths and 132 missing people had been recorded. The estimate is that 1.3 people were affected by the storm in some way.

In this context, Bahian teams called on their fans to help collect basic items. Here’s how to help:

In a post made on social media, Bahia informed that it will collect mineral water, non-perishable food and cleaning and hygiene materials. Donations must be taken to the team’s official store at Shopping Paralela, in Salvador.

“Between 2021 and 2022, our State suffered from the rains and all of Brazil helped. Now is the time to give back, Tricolor Nation,” he said.

In a campaign to acquire new members, Vitória informed that it will offer discount coupons to fans who make donations to three accounts in Rio Grande do Sul: Associação Cultural de Encandados, Câmara de Dirigentes Lojistas de Muçum (CDL Muçum) and Firefighters Roca Sales volunteers.

“10% of the amount donated to the RIO GRANDE DO SUL campaign will be converted into a DISCOUNT COUPON to join or renew the Mais Vitória Partner”, he informed.

Post offices in Bahia began receiving donations for victims of the rains in Rio Grande do Sul this Tuesday (7).

All of our own and third-party agencies, in addition to the state’s home distribution centers, will receive and transport donations free of charge.

Food from the basic basket, personal hygiene material, dry cleaning material, bed and bath linen and pet food can be donated.

CVC Travel and airlines

CVC, in partnership with the airlines Azul, Gol, Latam and Jamef Transportes, also launched a campaign to receive donations. Clothes, shoes, bed linen and towels can be delivered to one of more than 1000 CVC stores across the country. To find the nearest collection point, simply access the company’s website.
