The Civil Police of Paraná (PCPR) arrested 11 people in an operation, this Tuesday (7), aimed at repressing trafficking and robbery crimes in the western region of the state.

The court orders were complied with in the cities of Foz do Iguaçu, Santa Terezinha de Itaipu, São Miguel do Iguaçu and Medianeira. The action included 94 civil police officers, the Paraná Military Police (PMPR) and the Municipal Guard.

“The investigations that gave rise to the police operation began with routine actions to combat domestic trafficking and robbery. There were several investigations that took place, on different fronts, coordinated by different police authorities, related to the crimes of trafficking and robbery”, said the delegate from PCPR Marcelo Pereira Dias.

In addition to the arrests, 20 search warrants were executed and cell phones were seized, two trucks used in drug trafficking and two firearms, one of which was of restricted caliber.

The PCPR continues with investigations in order to locate and arrest others involved in the commission of the crimes under investigation.
