State deputies unanimously approved, in the plenary session this Tuesday (7) in the Legislative Assembly of Rio Grande do Norte, the bill initiated by deputy Kleber Rodrigues (PSDB) that will contribute to the movement of oncology patients from low income. This is the project that ensures the Free Transport Service for health treatment.

The transport service can be carried out by the RN Public Health Secretariat (Sesap) and also by the Department of Highways (DER), through the department’s transport directorate. Travel must be carried out within the geographic limits of RN. Also according to the project, the patient must be referred to the nearest city that will receive treatment. To receive the benefit, cancer patients must be residents of RN and prove a monthly income equal to or less than the minimum wage and will be entitled to one companion per trip.
