You traditional sweets from Minas Gerais, true culinary masterpieces, have delighted palates for generations. The state is famous for its homemade sweets, which preserve traditions and secrets passed down over time.

MILK CREAM
Ingredients:
- 2 liters of whole milk
- 400 g of sugar
Method of preparation:
In a pan, add the milk and cook over medium heat for 5 minutes. Reduce the heat, add the sugar and cook until it reaches the dulce de leche point, stirring occasionally. Turn off the heat, transfer the candy to a container with a lid, wait for it to cool and then serve.
CREAMY GOIABADA
Ingredients:
- 1 kg of ripe guavas, peeled and chopped
- 500 g of sugar
- 1/2 lemon juice
- 150 ml of water
Method of preparation:
In a blender, place the guavas, lemon juice and water and blend until combined. Using a sieve, transfer the mixture to a pan, add the sugar and cook over medium heat for 40 minutes, stirring occasionally. Turn off the heat, transfer the candy to a container with a lid, wait for it to cool and then serve.

AMBROSIA
Ingredients:
- 1 liter of milk
- 500 g of sugar
- 5 beaten eggs
- 2 cloves
- 1 lemon juice
- Peel of 1 lemon
- 1 cinnamon stick
Method of preparation:
In a pan, place the milk, cinnamon stick, lemon peel and cloves and cook over medium heat until it boils, stirring occasionally. Add the sugar and mix to dissolve. Then add the eggs and lemon juice and cook until it forms lumps and reduces the syrup. Turn off the heat and transfer the ambrosia to a container. Serve immediately.
SWEET OF GREEN PAPAYA
Ingredients:
- 3 cups of sugar
- 2 green papayas, peeled and grated
- 3 cinnamon sticks
- 5 cloves
Method of preparation:
In a pan, add the sugar and papaya and cook over medium heat until syrupy. Add the cloves and cinnamon and cook for 40 minutes, stirring occasionally. Turn off the heat, transfer the candy to a container with a lid, wait for it to cool and then serve.
GIRL FOOT
Ingredients:
- 500g peanuts
- 700g sugar
- 395g condensed milk
- 1 tablespoon of butter
Method of preparation:
In a baking dish, place the peanuts and place in a preheated oven at 180ºC for 20 minutes. Turn off the oven, remove the shells from the peanuts and place them in a pan. Add the sugar and cook over medium heat until the sugar melts. Add the condensed milk and butter and cook until a homogeneous consistency is obtained, stirring constantly.
Turn off the heat, wait for it to cool and, with the help of a spoon, take some dough and shape the candy. Place on a smooth surface greased with butter and repeat the process with the rest of the dough. Wait for it to cool and then serve.
