On an official trip to the United States on the occasion of the Offshore Technology Conference – OTC, the delegation from the Government of Sergipe participated in the OTC Distinguished Achievement Awards. The event, which took place last Sunday, the 5th, consists of an award that annually honors an individual and an organization with recognized work in the oil and gas sector.
In the 2024 edition, Petrobras was honored in the ‘Companies, Organizations and Institutions’ category. The selection takes place by choice of the OTC board, due to the “notable achievements” of the winners during the year. In the case of Petrobras, the award was given in recognition of the company’s work in revitalizing Campo de Marlim and the Campos Basin, in Rio de Janeiro. The company’s president, Jean Paul Prates, received the award on behalf of the institution.
Representing governor Fábio Mitidieri, the head of the State Secretariat for Economic Development and Science and Technology (Sedetec), Valmor Barbosa, expressed the relevance of the award. “The OTC brings together authorities in the oil and gas segment around the world. Given these leaders, Brazil was recognized through Petrobras. Given the company’s history in our state, Sergipe could not fail to be present”, summarized the secretary.
The president of the Sergipe Economic Development Company (Codise), Ronaldo Guimarães; the executive secretary of Sedetec, Marcelo Menezes; the CEO of Sergipe Gás (Sergas), José Matos; and the president of the Sergipe Public Services Regulatory Agency (Agrese), Luiz Hamilton, are part of the Sergipe group at the event.
