This Tuesday (7), the opening of the Regional Meeting on the Policy of Care for Women Deprived of Liberty and those released from the Prison System – Central-West Stage.
In addition to Mato Grosso do Sul, the event, which seeks to outline policies aimed at this audience, will also feature the participation of representatives from Mato Grosso, Goiás and the Federal District.
The objective is to map the main demands, identify good practices and consolidate proposals for improving actions and public policies related to female imprisonment.
The initiative will generate a concrete work agenda for institutional strengthening, in addition to strengthening the relationship between the Union and the participating states.
The regional meeting is held by Senappen (National Secretariat for Penal Policies), through Agepen (State Penitentiary System Administration Agency). According to Senappen, Mato Grosso do Sul stands out in actions and policies aimed at women in prison.
The opening of the event is scheduled for 8:30 am, in the Agraer auditorium, in Parque dos Poderes, with the presence of local authorities. The discussions and work will continue until Friday (10), with meetings of the technical team responsible for preparing the State Policy Plan for Incarcerated Women and those Leaving the Prison System.
