Between May 6th and 10th, 12 municipalities in the North Coast and Agreste Baiano and Recôncavo territories signed a letter of adherence to the Continuing Education Project, which begins the actions in 2024. The initiative is developed by Bracell, through Bracell Social, and has a technical partnership with the Chapada Institute of Education and Research (Icep). The mayors and Education Secretaries of Acajutiba, Alagoinhas, Araçás, Aramari, Cachoeira, Cardeal da Silva, Entre Rios, Inhambupe, Itanagra, Jandaíra, Ouriçangas and Santo Amaro participated in the signing of the document.

Created 10 years ago, Educação Continuada invests in the training of teachers, pedagogical coordinators, school managers and technical teams from Education departments as a way of contributing to the consolidation of a public policy of continuing education linked to the professional practices of educators and the management of student learning.

The project also promotes the production of content and social mobilization of the various members of the education networks, in addition to helping to improve pedagogical practices linked mainly to reading and writing. In this way, it contributes to increasing literacy rates for students at the right age and improving the performance of municipalities in relation to the Basic Education Development Index (Ideb).

“Bracell is committed to education, mainly to strengthening basic education, expressed in the goals of its 2030 Agenda and in the investments made in Education over these 10 years of the project. The partnership with these 12 municipalities, located in the company’s area of influence, is very strategic for us to continue contributing to the quality of Education in these territories to have a quality educational system for this new generation of students and for the entire school community”, he states.
