This Friday (3), the State Secretariat for Infrastructure (Sinfra) made a commitment to the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Vera, Mato Grosso, for the maintenance and signaling of the state highways MT-140 and MT-255. The commitment was signed during an extrajudicial negotiation hearing, resulting from a Public Civil Inquiry that investigates the responsibilities and actions of the state public authorities.
Sinfra agreed to carry out improvements at the first junction of the MT-140, which include the installation of sound signals before the speed bumps and the possible construction of another speed bump. In addition, signs will be placed indicating proximity to the speed reducer at distances of 500, 400, 300, 200 and 100 meters.
By May 8th, Sinfra has committed to presenting a new signage readjustment project, with the works scheduled to be carried out by the end of this month. Regarding the maintenance of the MT-225 highways, between Vera and Sorriso, and MT-140, between Vera and Sinop, Sinfra reinforced the service orders for pothole filling operations, beginning of cleaning, mowing the shoulders and immediate application of yellow lanes and white.
Sinfra also informed that a restoration project for these highways is in the preparation phase, which will be submitted for approval. After the project is completed, measures such as the placement of “studs” and “tacks” on the track will be considered, as suggested by the Vera Public Prosecutor’s Office. Sinfra will have 60 days to present the maintenance activities announced during the extrajudicial negotiation hearing.

The commitment was signed by the prosecutor Daniel Luiz dos Santos, by the Secretary of Administration of Vera, Roberto Carlos Dambrós, and by the representatives of Sinfra, Nívia Calzalori (deputy secretary of Road Works) and Kelys Auxiliadora (superintendent of Execution and Inspection of Construction).
