CAR begins public consultation on the Bahia que Produz e Alimenta project

The Regional Development and Action Company (CAR) opened the Public Consultation for the Bahia que Produz e Alimenta Project, marking an important milestone for civil society participation in the public policy decision-making process. Citizens will have the opportunity to express their opinions, concerns and doubts about a project that promises to significantly impact many lives. The Public Consultation represents a direct channel of dialogue between government bodies, institutions and society. It is through this mechanism that CAR not only shares information about the Bahia that Produces and Feeds Project, but also seeks to listen and understand the voices of those who will be affected by its actions. The main objective of the Bahia that Produces and Feeds Project is to serve 30 thousand families, promoting the improvement and expansion of infrastructure, services and integration of productive organizations into markets. In addition, it is planned to serve 20 thousand families with water connections and 600 productive organizations with access to financing. One of the main innovations of this new project is the focus on agroecology, environmental management and climate resilience, reflecting the commitment to sustainability and preservation of natural resources. The public consultation offers the opportunity for all interested parties to access socio-environmental documents and other information materials related to the project.
