‘Money in Paraense School’ ensures structural improvements in State units

Two more state schools celebrate the services carried out through the investment of the Dinheiro na Escola Paraense Program (Prodep), from the Government of Pará. The initiative, carried out through the Pará State Department of Education (Seduc), guarantees improvements from small construction works, maintenance and even purchasing school meals in the 12 integration regions of the State.

One of the schools that received the resource was the Professor Virgilio Libonati unit, located in the Terra Firme neighborhood, in Belém. The place received a general contribution of R$45,970.23 and provided services such as hydrosanitary, which is associated not only with comfort and well-being of students, but also their hygiene and health. In addition to review, installation and maintenance of electrical network wiring and distribution.

“Prodep met most of our needs, such as making our bathrooms more suitable for our students, as well as the electrical renovation, which benefited all learning spaces, especially the classrooms, appealing to both students and the school community. Only gratitude”, celebrates Auxiliadora Azevedo, director.

Another school that also gained autonomy with the resource was the José Bonifácio unit, in the Fátima neighborhood, also in the capital of Pará. With the value of R$ 36,699.90 of the total resource, the school management regularized the floor, the protective screen for the sports court, maintenance of the electrical network, hydraulic services, conservation and improvement of the physical structure.

“The Program is being fundamental for the José Bonifácio State School, as we are managing to solve structural problems with greater speed and autonomy, such as the reform of the school’s electrical and hydraulic network. And, we are already preparing the foundation for air conditioning, because new transfers will be made by the State Government”, said Ana Silvia Gomes, director of the school.

Authorized services are considered low complexity and do not affect the structural integrity of buildings.

About the Program – The “Dinheiro na Escola Paraense” Program provides supplementary financial assistance to Basic Education school units in the state education network, in order to promote improvements in their physical and pedagogical infrastructure, with a view to strengthening community participation and school self-management.

For schools to receive the resources sent by Seduc, the School Council must be formally regularized, with accounts rendered up to date. After regularization by the School Council, the representative must sign the membership agreement.
