On the afternoon of last Monday (29), the Federal Highway Police (PRF) in Paraíba seized a tampered motorcycle and recovered a backpack with personal documents and a notebook, which had been stolen on an intercity bus during a stop. for snack. Two individuals were detained during separate actions.
In the municipality of Junco do Seridó, on BR-230, km 260, at around 3 pm, a police team saw a Honda CG 125 motorcycle with a non-standard identification plate. She was approached in order to be identified. During standard procedures, it was found that the motorcycle was tampered with. The driver, a 25-year-old woman, was arrested and taken with the motorcycle to the Patos Judicial Police Station, where she could face criminal charges for tampering with a motor vehicle identification sign.
About an hour after the previous incident, this time in the municipality of Soledade, PRF agents received a report that a passenger on a bus traveling on the João Pessoa – Catolé do Rocha line had had her backpack stolen when she got off the vehicle to have a snack. Given the information obtained, evidence indicated that the person who had stolen their belongings got on another bus that was on the Bonito de Santa Fé – João Pessoa line. In possession of this information, steps were taken to intercept the vehicle, which was done after 30 minutes. During inspection, the complainant’s backpack was found with a 43-year-old man in it. With him, in addition to the backpack, were the victim’s personal documents and a red notebook. In view of the facts narrated, he was arrested and taken to the Judiciary Police Station, where he could face criminal charges for theft.
