Manaus/AM – The Government of Amazonas will maintain the operation of essential services in the areas of health and safety during the holiday, this Wednesday (1st), Labor Day. Civil Police arrest centers and urgent and emergency health care are among the services that will remain in operation.
Security
The arrest centers of the 1st, 6th, 14th and 19th Integrated Police Districts (DIPs), as well as the Specialized Police Stations for Homicides and Kidnappings (DEHS), Crimes against Women (DECCM) in the central-southern zone, on the Vulnerable Duty ( PLV), Child and Adolescent Protection (Depca) and Investigation of Infractional Acts (Deaai), will operate 24 hours a day.
The Police Stations Specialized in Vehicle Robbery and Theft (DERFV) and the Robbery, Theft and Fraud Office (DERFD) will be handling incident records according to their areas of operation. During this period, incidents can also be registered at the Virtual Police Station, accessible at the address: Virgíniavirtual.sinesp.gov.br/portal/.
The other Integrated Police Districts (DIPs) and Specialized Police Stations will resume their activities normally on Thursday (2), from 8am to 5pm.
The Military Police will maintain regular overt policing throughout the capital. In cases of emergency, the population can contact 190 and 181. The Fire Department will also be available to provide assistance, calling 193.
Health
The six emergency rooms (three adults and three children), the seven maternity wards, the nine Emergency Care Services (SPAs) and the two Emergency Care Units (UPAs) will be operational. However, the units that carry out scheduled consultations, such as the Comprehensive Child Care Centers (Caics), the Elderly Care Centers (Caimis) and Polyclinics, will not operate on Wednesday (1/05), returning to normal service. on Thursday (2).
Detran-AM
The State Department of Traffic of Amazonas (Detran-AM) informs that, due to the Labor Day holiday, this Wednesday (1st/05), its services will be suspended. There will be no application of legislation and direction tests. Detran Amazonas will resume normal service on Thursday (02/05).
Citizenship
The services provided by the State Secretariat for Justice, Human Rights and Citizenship (Sejusc), as well as the Emergency Support Service for Women (Sapem) in the capital, will normally operate 24 hours a day during the holiday. Citizen Emergency Assistance (PAC) services will only return on May 2nd. The kitchens and restaurants of the Prato Cheio program, managed by the State Secretariat for Social Assistance (Seas), will not operate, but will resume normal service on Thursday (02/05). The Community Centers will also be closed on 05/01.
Education
There will be no classes in state schools this Wednesday (1/05) and there will be no administrative hours.
Culture
The Palácio da Justiça Cultural Centers, on Avenida Eduardo Ribeiro, and Palácio Rio Negro, on Avenida Sete de Setembro, both in the center of Manaus, managed by the Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy, will be open for public visits from 9am to 1pm. The Amazonas Theater, on Avenida Eduardo Ribeiro, will also open for visitors at the same time.
