The South-Brazilian Symposium ABC+ Low Carbon Emission Agriculture will take place next Friday, 3rd, starting at 9 am, in the auditorium of the Federation of Industries of the State of Santa Catarina (FIESC). It will debate actions in the southern region of Brazil to mitigate, adapt and combat climate change through the ABC+ State Plans.
It is organized by the State Management Groups of Santa Catarina, Paraná and Rio Grande do Sul, together with the State Secretariat for Agriculture and Livestock and the Santa Catarina Rural Research and Extension Company (Epagri), with institutional support.
The Secretaries of State for Agriculture and Livestock of Santa Catarina, Valdir Colatto, are confirmed; of Agriculture, Livestock, Sustainable Production and Irrigation of Rio Grande do Sul, Giovani Feltes; and Agriculture and Supply of Paraná, Norberto Ortigara.

Low Carbon Emission Agriculture (ABC) is a set of agricultural and forestry practices that aim to reduce and, above all, contribute to the generation of carbon credits that can be used to mitigate greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
The event will feature explanations from renowned experts in the field, showing practical examples with the presence of rural producers, the results and 2030 targets for Low Carbon Emission Agriculture in southern Brazil; Integrated Systems: Crop-Livestock-Forest Integration (ILPF), Vegetable Direct Planting Systems (SPDH) and Grains Direct Planting System (SPDG). The recovery of pastures, Biogas and Biomethane will also be discussed and there will be a presentation of successful cases of ABC+ technologies in Brazil.
