Pernambuco Convention Center has a schedule of fairs, festivals and concerts

The Pernambuco Centro de Convenções announces a month of May with lots of rock, innovation and entrepreneurship, in a schedule full of shows, shows, business fairs and even events in the automotive world. All spaces in the complex, one of the largest and most modern in the North/Northeast of Brazil, will be occupied with intense programming.

The month starts with lots of national rock. The Rock Rec Festival was created with the aim of becoming the biggest rock marathon in the Northeast. The program, this Saturday (4), in the External Area, features in the line up Os Paralamas do Sucesso, Capital Inicial, Nando Reis, Humberto Gessinger, Nação Zumbi, Biquíni and Charlie Brown Jr. The structure has two stages and a third alternative for local bands to perform.

Continuing with music, the Guararapes Chico Science Theater will be the stage for great meetings and tributes. The Petrobrás Symphony Orchestra makes two presentations. The first, on the 7th, brings the “Legião Sinfônico” concert, in which Legião Urbana fans will enjoy a unique experience by reliving the iconic band’s hits, under the baton of maestro Felipe Prazeres. The public will be moved by incredible versions of classics such as “Será”, “Pais e Filhos”, “Eduardo e Mônica” and “Faroeste caboclo”, with new arrangements.

On the 8th, the Petrobras Symphony Orchestra invites Lenine for a unique performance. The public will enjoy hits from the Pernambuco native’s career, such as “Leão do Norte”, “Jack Soul Brasileiro”, “Paciência” and more.

Composers Chico César and Zeca Baleiro bring to Teatro Guararapes, on the 10th, the show of the album “Ao Arrepio da Lei”, recently released in March. In the repertoire, new songs and hits from both, some hotter, others more reflective. Beatles fans will cheer with “Hey Jude & Orquestra”, on the Now And Then tour, on the 11th, on the same stage. The band bets on a wide repertoire and the fidelity of arrangements, timbres, voices, costumes, mannerisms and even the dialogues in English on stage.

Bee Gees lovers meet in tribute to the brothers who marked a generation across the planet, on the 22nd. Bee Gees Alive faithfully reproduces the mythical band of the Gibb brothers, with impeccable interpretation performances, performing classics such as Massachusetts, Words, To Love Somebody, Stayin´Alive, More Than a Woman, I Started a Joke, Lonely Days, Night Fever, More Than a Woman and, How Deep is Your Love.

The month’s tributes end on the 25th with the show “Belchior – Last year I died, but this year I don’t die”, bringing the memory, poetry and philosophy of an icon of Brazilian Popular Music.

From the internet to the stage

Renowned artists on the internet will also visit the Guararapes Theater. On May 18th, Turma do Problems presents the play “Mystery of Stick’s Mask” for children, starting at 4pm. The company records more than four billion views of its content on YouTube, but this is the first live performance with the channel’s members: Problems, Stick, Kadu, Mel, and Zoom.

Pernambuco comedian Flávio Andadde brings the solo stand up comedy show “Enjoy the party” from 9pm. The comedian takes the public’s imagination on a journey with him to different parties, telling not only his personal stories, but also creative situations, playing with the mix of Stand-up Comedy and his experience as an actor.

Business

In addition to the events above, the agenda also includes three fairs that will occupy the event equipment pavilion. Expoisp Brasil – Olinda 2024 will bring together, from May 8th to 10th, the main internet providers and suppliers in the Northeast, with the presence of more than 100 exhibitors and an expected visitor audience of 15 thousand people.

Mega Fashion will showcase the main fashion brands, from 16 to 19, also with free entry. More than 50 thousand visitors are expected to watch the promotions of the 250 exhibitors, with new features ranging from a pharmacy to a car dealership.

Closing the month, Sebrae Pernambuco will promote, from the 22nd to the 25th, the Entrepreneur’s Fair, with workshops, lectures, exhibitions of products and services, as well as business meetings. The expectation is to receive 30 thousand people, including businesspeople and those interested in the world of entrepreneurship, to check out the vast program in more than 20 spaces and the 60 participating exhibitors.
