These themes aim to emancipate women and society, through the fight against gender-based violence and the construction of a culture of equity.

The alternate vice-president, Hilda Pellizzi, representative of the Women of Brazil Group, emphasized the importance of monitoring actions with the Government of the Federal District. “We know that many actions are being carried out every day. It is important that, with the support of the GDF, we, civil society, can map, control and evaluate public policies so that they have the necessary effectiveness and more women are served by them”, she stated.

National Women’s Day

Annually, on April 30th, National Women’s Day is celebrated, an important occasion to promote gender equality and women’s rights in society. With this in mind, at the end of the meeting, CDM representatives carried out an action in front of the Buriti Palace, on Eixo Monumental.

With a banner commemorating the day that featured the phrase “May all women know who to count on”, the movement, in addition to handing out informative booklets and flowers to women who passed by, also reinforced the importance of combating sexism, misogyny and all other types of discrimination against the female gender.
