The deadline for licensing vehicles with license plates ending in 1 and 2 expires today, April 30th. In total, there are 367,425 thousand vehicles that must be licensed.
The value of 4.53 Uferms (State Tax Reference Unit of Mato Grosso do Sul) is the same for all types of vehicles, which in this month of April is R$ 219.34. If you don’t pay today, the amount is updated to 5.88 Uferms, which if maintained the following month, will be R$284.70.
The licensing fee can be paid through self-service, on the Meu Detran service portal or through the Detran MS application. Citizens can also seek in-person assistance at a Detran-MS agency.
Detran-MS warns that payment of the guide does not mean that the document (CRLV) was issued, as there are situations that block the continuation of issuance, for example, having registered an intention to sell or if there is a pending recall. Therefore, it is essential that the owner certify that the CRLV was issued, through the CDT application, if the document is digital, or go to a Detran agency to verify it.
Carrying the CRLV document (Vehicle Registration and Licensing Certificate) is mandatory and must be presented to the traffic authority whenever requested, whether the physical document is printed or digital through the CDT (Digital Traffic Card).
It is worth remembering that a driver caught driving an unlicensed vehicle commits a very serious infraction. The art. 230 of the CTB (Brazilian Traffic Code) provides for the imposition of a fine of R$ 293.47 and seven points on the license, in addition to the administrative measure of removing the vehicle from the yard until the document is regularized.
