Infrastructure demands brought by representatives of business associations from all regions of the state guided a meeting with the Secretary of State for Infrastructure of Santa Catarina, Jerry Comper, at Facisc headquarters (also with online participants), this Thursday morning, April 25.

“We understand that the demand for the secretariat is great. Still, it is our duty to look at infrastructure, which is the issue that concerns us most, as it is the one with the highest scores in Facisc’s Voz Única program, which maps the priorities of businesspeople in Santa Catarina for candidates in the elections”, highlighted the president of the entity, Elson Otto, at the opening of the event.

Vice-president Rita Conti complemented Otto’s speech, highlighting that it is through the roads that Santa Catarina’s production is transported. “Road infrastructure is a structuring topic, which involves all sectors of the economy, as we are a state of excellence and we would be much further ahead if we had better logistical conditions”, explained Rita.

Accompanied by his technical team, the secretary initially presented the R$2.8 billion investment package that is being implemented through the State Government’s Estrada Boa program, with 45 works in progress in all regions. For the next two years, R$1.4 billion is also planned for highway conservation.

“It’s been a year since we were here to show a little of what we’re doing, it’s a lot. And it can’t be any different, as we have more than 6 thousand kilometers of highway to take care of, with 1,300 kilometers still to be paved.”

Among the dozens of demands brought by the base was that of the regional vice-president of Facisc in the Far West, Vanessa Brand Back Bertol, who lives in Iporã do Oeste and reported the state of SC-283, which she passes through when traveling to meetings like this Thursday, in the Capital. “It is impassable and no mowing is being done there. You dodge one hole to fall into another, not to mention that the bush covers the signs, which makes the stretch even more dangerous. I even filmed it to show you,” said the businesswoman, who had the support of counselor Alaor Francisco Tissot, who recently passed by the highway, in her testimony.

Comper admitted the situation of SC-283 and highlighted that on April 8, the work order for the maintenance of the highway was signed.

The director of Voz Única da Facisc, Milvo Zancanaro, made the entity available for whatever was necessary to speed up the works brought by Santa Catarina businessmen. “We can use our representation and our voice, with thousands of members, to demand more resources from the federal government, for example,” he concluded.
