The Government of Amazonas opened a line of credit for 13 entrepreneurs in Borba (151 kilometers from Manaus), who will benefit from resources worth R$ 222 thousand reais to boost local activities.

Investment was also made in the primary sector with the delivery of 1,200 citrus and coffee seedlings, 3.9 tons of food purchased from rural producers through the Federal Government’s Food Acquisition Program (PAA), and destined for families in the Network Social assistance in the municipality. The actions were carried out this Friday (26/04), by Governor Wilson Lima.

Since 2019, the State government, through the Amazonas Development Agency (Afeam), has invested more than R$6 million in the municipality of Borba, totaling 685 credit operations, generating or maintaining around 2,000 thousand economic occupations.

“I want to reinforce the commitment I have with these populations, reinforce the determination that our government has to continue working to improve the lives of those who live in the interior”, said Governor Wilson Lima.

In the primary sector, deliveries of seedlings, carried out through the State Secretariat for Rural Production, deliveries of orange, lemon and coffee seedlings will benefit 40 rural producers, including 30 citrus kits and 10 coffee kits. Each producer will receive a kit.

Through the PAA, Sepror acquired green scent, chives, cabbage, pacova banana, banana, cassava, pumpkin, papaya and lemon. The vegetables and fruits were entirely produced in the region, and will be destined for families registered in the municipality’s Social Assistance Network.

Pink Credit

Through Crédito do Rosa, 148 women were covered between 2023 and 2024, with resources of R$490.7 thousand. The action is in partnership with the State Department of Social Assistance (Seas) and the Amazonas State Development Agency (Afeam).

Cook Jéssica Monique was one of those awarded the benefit. The amount acquired was used to purchase household items to improve the service.

“We can have a clean name, but we can’t always get it at a bank. Crédito Rosa came to help us expand. In my case, I took out the loan, as I cook at home, I have my own kitchen. So, I preferred to invest in plates, cutlery, glasses and some pans. This was my investment with Crédito Rosso, which helped me a lot”, commented the entrepreneur.
