Procon Manaus notifies Amazonas FC about ticket prices for game against Flamengo | Amazon

The Consumer Service and Protection Service (Procon Manaus) notified Amazonas Futebol Clube on Friday (26), requesting clarification on the prices charged for the sale of tickets for the match against Flamengo. The measure was taken in response to complaints made by consumers to the agency.

Wanted by g1, the Amazonas FC press office did not want to take a position on the matter. The team has a period of ten days to present information on marketing, prices and the composition of ticket sales.

In the document issued by the institution, the possible abusive practice on the part of the Amazon club is mentioned.

“Thus, in the use of legal powers, considering the demand received from consumers by this body regarding the game between Amazonas Futebol Clube and Flamengo, which will take place on May 22nd, based on complaints and demonstrations on our communication channels that describe the abusive ticket prices that vary between R$345 and R$1,725”, says an excerpt from the document.

It is important to highlight that abusive practices are listed, as an example, in article 39 of the Consumer Protection Code (CDC). Specifically, item 5 of article 39 of the CDC mentions a manifestly excessive advantage.
