A man accused of raping a teenager was captured by the Alagoas Civil Police this Wednesday (24), having been a fugitive from justice for almost 15 years.
The crime occurred in 2010 and the arrest of the individual, who was hiding in the city of Murici, located in the Zona da Mata of Alagoas, is the result of investigative work by the Police Intelligence Directorate (Dinpol).
According to the general delegate of PCAL, Gustavo Xavier, the man, whose name was not disclosed, had sexually abused a 15-year-old girl. Under the false promise of teaching her how to ride a motorcycle, he lured her to a sugar cane field, where he raped her.
After a long period of searches and investigative work, Dinpol finally located the criminal in Murici. “We came to the city and carried out the arrest”, stated the general delegate. “Another job, another successful arrest by investigative work and the Civil Police Intelligence Directorate”, he added.
