Sicredi Centro-Sul MS/BA has its roots in the countryside and in these 35 years of operation it has provided various products and services aimed at the growth of agribusiness, with emphasis on rural credit, including funding and investment, Rural Product Certificate (CPR) , in addition to consortiums, insurance, special credit card lines, etc.

Brazilian agribusiness is one of the largest exporters of agricultural products in the world and the long-standing partnership with Sicredi marks the protagonism of our institution, which positions itself as the second largest agricultural financier in Brazil, according to the Fenabran ranking (April 2023 ).

In Brazil, Sicredi has more than 700 thousand rural producer members, divided between family farming, medium-sized and large-sized producers, with women representing 23% of this total. In our Cooperative, of the almost 140 thousand members, around 10% are from the agribusiness sector.

For the 2023/2024 harvest plan, we increased the amounts granted for rural credit at a systemic level, freeing up significant resources for funding, investment, commercialization and industrialization operations. In our Cooperative, we granted more than R$72 million in rural credit and R$391 million in CPR credit, according to data from the 2023 sustainability report. In rural insurance, the amounts exceeded R$5 million; in agricultural insurance, they totaled more than R$4 million and, in agro consortiums, more than R$60 million.

For the executive director of Sicredi Centro-Sul MS/BA, Giorgio Bonato, the agricultural sector generates jobs, income and contributes significantly to the trade balance of Mato Grosso do Sul, in addition to the adoption of sustainable practices in the field, such as the use of technologies modern technologies, adequate soil management and environmental conservation. “Agro in the south of Mato Grosso do Sul is an important pillar for regional development, promoting economic growth, innovation and sustainability”, he emphasized.

In addition to the numbers, the close, human and consultative service provided by our Cooperative sets the partnership with the sector apart. For the president of the Cooperative, Paulo Roberto Neves, the institution is a bridge that connects the needs of producers with financial and non-financial solutions. “Our products and services aim to support producers in their improvements in the field and in their activities in general. We are a catalyst for the agro movement,” he highlighted.
