This Wednesday (24), Bahia defeated Internacional 3-1, in the heart of Morada dos Quero-Queros, in the city of Alvorada, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, in the 4th round of the 1st phase of the Brazilian Championship in the under-20 category.

Waliffer opened the scoring 13 minutes into the first half. Gabriel equalized in the 17th minute of the 2nd half, but Tiago, at 26, put the tricolor team back in front and he himself, at 32, closed the account.

Thus, Bahia won the third consecutive match in the competition and reached 3rd place in the league table, with nine points achieved. Inter lost the fourth in a row, remains unable to score and remains at the bottom of the table.

What is the 2024 Brasileirão U20 like?

The current edition of the Brazilian Under-20 Championship, organized by the Brazilian Football Confederation, once again brings together the 20 best associations placed in the CBF Club Ranking, and as a result, Vasco da Gama ended up missing out for the second year in a row. Participants represent nine states: BA (1), CE (2), GO (2), MG (3), MT (1), PR (1), RJ (3), RS (2) and SP (5) .

Compared to last year, there are the same groups. However, the form of dispute is not. The 20 clubs will play each other in a single round (19 rounds) and the top eight will advance to the knockout stages.
