Senator Jayme Campos allocated 35 million reais to the health sector in several municipalities in the state of Mato Grosso. The resources come from the Union Budget and go directly to funding and increasing the Basic Care Floor (PAB) and Medium and High Complexity (MAC).

“Public health is my priority and, with the resources we are making available, we want to strengthen primary care, especially in disease prevention. We also want excellence in the provision of emergency and urgent services in our hospital units”, highlighted the senator.

According to the senator, the mayors and councilors of the Mato Grosso cities covered have already been notified of the resources allocated by the Union. Jayme Campos stated that the Sarah Kubitschek Hospital in Brasília and the Cancer Hospital in Barretos were also included, “where many Mato Grosso residents treat illnesses.”

The Cuiabá Cancer Hospital and the Associação Beneficência Poconeada also received resources of 750 thousand and 500 reais, respectively. “The resources that we are now making available, unfortunately, are still few or almost nothing, given the reality suffered by our people. But, I want you to know that we are fighting daily to bring more and more resources for health in our state”, highlighted the senator.
