Recife hosts exhibition ”Memories of Japan in Pernambuco” | Latest: Pernambuco.com

The Northeastern Association of Former Scholarship Holders and Interns in Japan (ANBEJ) and the Japanese Cultural Association of Recife (ACJR) are holding the traveling exhibition “Memories of Japan in Pernambuco” until April 30th, in celebration of the 105th anniversary of Japanese immigration for the state of Pernambuco and the 50th anniversary of the Japanese association of Recife.

The exhibition will be open from Tuesday to Friday from 10am to 4pm, and on Saturdays and Sundays from 11am to 5pm, at the Cais do Sertão Museum. The main attraction will be the traveling exhibition of ancient photographs and artifacts, which is sponsored by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and with the support of the Japanese Consulate.

This exhibition will offer an immersive experience, immersing visitors in a world of traditions, customs and stories rooted in Japanese culture, presented through a diverse collection of historical artifacts and community photographs.
