Secties discusses partnerships in a meeting with the Argentine consul in the Northeast

The State Secretary of Science, Technology, Innovation and Higher Education, Claudio Furtado, held a meeting this Tuesday (23) with the Argentine consul in the Northeast, Julieta Grande, to discuss possible partnerships for higher education in Paraíba. On the occasion, some Secties actions were presented to the consul, such as the Paraíba Without Borders program. According to Secretary Claudio Furtado, Argentina is a potential country that could be included in the program.

“We presented our Paraíba without Borders program and showed the interest in exchange with higher education institutions in Argentina, especially in the areas of science, technology and higher education. We also highlight the actions of the Horizontes da Inovação Technological Park. Our objective is to expand access for students from Paraíba to projects and exchange programs at higher education institutions that promote technological innovation,” he said.

Consul Julieta Grande highlighted the importance of maintaining dialogue and congratulated the secretary for the actions carried out in the areas of Science, Technology and Higher Education. “I was very impressed with everything that was presented. […] For me, it is a pride to contribute and build bridges between these Argentine institutions and these institutions in Paraíba”, he commented.

Furthermore, a new agenda was scheduled for the 6th of May, where training possibilities and proficiency exams in Spanish will be discussed, through a partnership between Argentine and Paraíba institutions for the issuance of the CELU (Certificate of Spanish Language and Use) to higher education students in the state.
