In the quest to provide a more modern and comfortable learning environment for students and teachers, the State Secretariat for Education, Culture, Sports and Leisure invests more than R$66 million in the acquisition of a variety of essential equipment for schools in the state education network.

The purchase covers a wide list of items, from computers to basic furniture for classrooms and common areas. Among the highlights are state-of-the-art computers, refrigerators, water fountains, freezers, dishes, counters, tables and chairs.

For the RN Secretary of Education, this initiative reflects the State’s commitment to the quality of public education. “Investing in adequate equipment is essential to provide an excellent educational experience. This is an important part of an ongoing effort to modernize our schools and ensure that students and teachers have the resources they need to reach their full potential”, highlights teacher Socorro Batista.

The arrival of new computers in schools represents a significant advance in access to educational technology. These resources enable not only access to information, but also the development of essential digital skills for students to face the challenges of the contemporary world.

Furthermore, the installation of refrigerators, drinking fountains and freezers contributes to adequate access to drinking water and allows the storage of fresh and healthy food.

The acquisition of furniture such as tables, chairs and armchairs not only renews the school environment, but also promotes comfort and ergonomics for both students and teachers, creating more conducive conditions for teaching and learning.

With this initiative, the Department of Education reaffirms its commitment to offering quality education, which is aligned with the needs and demands present in everyday school life, preparing students for the challenges of the contemporary world.

Part of this investment, around R$12 million, is being directed towards the acquisition of equipment and kitchen utensils, intended to equip not only existing school units, but also new Institutes of Professional Education, Science, Technology and Innovation in the Rio Grande do Norte (IERN).

This amount will be distributed to more than 580 schools in the state network. With this acquisition, it is expected not only to improve the conditions for preparing and distributing school meals, but also to guarantee greater quality and food safety for students.

The new kitchen equipment and utensils represent a significant advance in the school infrastructure, providing adequate conditions for preparing and preserving food.
