Series D of the 2024 Brazilian Championship is about to begin, and expectations are high for the start of the competition this coming weekend. The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) has already released the detailed table of games in the first phase, where 64 clubs, divided into eight groups, will compete for the coveted four places in the third national division.

Costa Rica, a club from Mato Grosso do Sul, will be the state representative in the competition after winning the 2023 state championship. The club has its debut scheduled against São José-SP, on Saturday, April 27, at 5 pm, at Estádio Martins Pereira. In the second round, Costa Rica will host Inter de Limeira at the Laertão Stadium, on May 5th, at 4pm.

Costa Rica’s calendar includes challenging clashes, with away matches against Maringá-PR and Patrocinense-MG, and home duels against teams such as Pouso Alegre-MG and Santo André-SP. The end of the first round will be against Água Santa-SP, in Diadema, marking one of the most anticipated games.

After the first round, the competition moves to the second round with the same game structure, culminating in a total of 14 rounds. The four best teams in each group will advance to the next phase, intensifying the competition for access to Series C.
