Justice extends protective measures against Lula’s son, after video insulting his ex-wife

A Justice of São Paulo expanded the list of protective measures against Luís Cláudio Lula da Silva, youngest son of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. The measure comes after videos surfaced that show Luís Cláudio offending his ex-wife, Natália Schincariol. The information was released this Tuesday, 23, by the g1 portal.

The new decision prohibits Lula’s son from “publishing, posting, broadcasting, forwarding, disseminating, commenting, by any means, content that refers, directly or indirectly, to the petitioner”.

Luís Cláudio is accused of domestic violence against his ex-wife. Recently, the victim went to court to report non-compliance with a protective measure for Lula’s son. He allegedly shared a video against her with allegedly offensive content. Natália called the action psychological violence.

The Public Ministry (MP) analyzed the request and considered that there was no non-compliance with the measure, but decided to expand the restrictions in favor of Natália.

“There is no prohibition on sharing photos and videos of the victim, so, technically, it does not constitute the crime of non-compliance”, argued the MP. “Without prejudice, in order to protect the privacy of those involved, including in order to prevent damage, the Public Prosecutor’s Office fights for the extension of the protective measures granted.”

Luís Cláudio’s defense informed g1 that it will not comment on the new court decision.

In the request, Natália said that the content shared by her ex-husband offended honor and moral integrity, with words of a pejorative and derogatory nature. Lula’s son shared the video from an online news program on Brasil 247.

In the publication, commentator Hildegard Angel says that the doctor does not inspire confidence because of her “layout“, that she “does the BBB line, with big mouth, facial harmonization, ‘bust’, sexy pose on Instagram, wanting to be an intellectual, writing self-help texts”.

Luís Cláudio said that the journalist had “wise words” when sharing the video. For Natália, Lula’s son’s comment would characterize behavior of psychological, moral and verbal violence. She stated that the conduct caused intense suffering and worsened her vulnerable situation.

Lula’s son is accused of domestic violence

President Lula’s son was accused of domestic violence by his ex-wife on April 2. The doctor opened a police report at the Women’s Police Station against Luís Cláudio. In a note, the accused’s defense denied that he had attacked Natália and said that “the lies fall within the types of crimes of slander, insult and defamation, in addition to being liable for compensation for moral damages”.

According to g1, Natália told the politician that she was attacked with an elbow during a fight in January this year. She also said she was a victim of verbal, psychological and moral aggression. The doctor reported that she had to be away from work for a month because of the trauma.

Luís Cláudio and Natália have lived in a stable union for two years. Lula’s son would have called her a “slut, fat, ugly and mentally ill”. She stated that she did not file a complaint against her ex-husband before because she was intimidated.

“My father will protect me and he will lose, I will destroy his soul”, Luís Cláudio allegedly said to Natália, according to the police report. “I’m going to tell everyone that you’re insane, no one will believe you.”
