With the help of the Videomonitoring Center (Nuvid) of the Integrated Security Operations Coordination (Ciops) of the Secretariat of Public Security and Social Defense (SSPDS), the Ceará Military Police (PMCE) captured a 23-year-old man suspected of theft in the José Bonifácio neighborhood. The capture took place on Tuesday morning (02).

Military police officers were patrolling the neighborhood when they were called to respond to an incident in progress. On that occasion, an individual was seen by Nuvid operators cutting wires from boxes belonging to a telecommunications company. Immediately, the team moved to the location, where they approached and arrested the man.

In total, five telecommunications boxes with cut wires were seized. As a result, the individual was taken to the 25th Police District (DP), a unit that covers the region, where he was charged with theft. The suspect, who already has convictions for crimes against public safety, theft and traffic crimes, was placed at the disposal of the Court. The PCCE continues to investigate whether the captured man was involved in other crimes in the region.
