In this Tuesday’s session, the 2nd, of the National Council of Justice, Alagoas stands out with the largest number of magistrates submitted to trial. The first is retired judge Giovanni Alfredo de Oliveira Jatubá. The CNJ will decide on the annulment of a Court of Justice decision that acquitted him in one of the cases.

Regardless of the outcome, Jatubá’s situation will remain unchanged, with mandatory retirement remaining in place. The second case involves judge Luciano Galvão, from Penedo, whose agenda returns to the CNJ for consideration.

The councilors can deliberate on the opening of an Administrative Disciplinary Process against Galvão and his possible removal from office, motivated by a clash in the city due to omission in the process of executing an extrajudicial title.

According to the national inspector of Justice and rapporteur of the Request for Measures case, Minister Luis Felipe Salomão, the omission in question occurred when anticipating the effects of the guardianship, issuing permits for the withdrawal of values, considering the request for withdrawal and in the treatment of fraud news.

It is worth noting that Jatubá was retired under accusations of reinstatement to the Military Police of Alagoas of two former military police officers years after they had their claim denied in actions deemed unfounded and final and unappealable, including appeals rejected in the second instance by the 2nd and 3rd Civil Chambers of the TJ. In short, the judge accepted the new actions with requests that had already been denied by the Court and whose decisions there was no longer any way to appeal.
