Son of pilgrim from Varginha (MG) missing between SP and MG continues search for his father
Even after the search by the Fire Department ended, the family of Pedro Donizeti Francisco continues to search for the pilgrim from Varginha (MG), who disappeared on the border between Minas Gerais and São Paulo, in Serra do Piquete. He was destined for the city of Aparecida (SP).
The elderly man has been missing since Monday (25) and the search was suspended by the Fire Department on Wednesday morning (27), even though he was not found.

“We end another day of searching for my father. An unsuccessful search and many false alarms. The saddest thing is knowing that the pilgrimage is over and for me it is not over. One pilgrim was left behind. Is very sad. The pilgrimage had to give us better support. The Fire Department only came one day. He is a human being lost in the mountains, somewhere he is. We stay [família] We felt very sorry, we had to have better support”, said Pedro Augusto Francisco, the pilgrim’s son.

Searches suspended by firefighters
On Wednesday morning, the Fire Department suspended the search for the elderly man who disappeared during the pilgrimage that left Varginha heading to Aparecida.

According to members of the pilgrimage, the elderly man left with the “Romaria do Zuca” group in the company of two children and a grandson. The children and members of the organization are on site and help with the search.
Firefighters and sniffer dogs search for elderly man who disappeared on a pilgrimage to Aparecida
According to the Fire Department, the only day of searches took place on Tuesday, when the incident took place. The work took place between 9:30 am and 8 pm, and was supported by Military Police helicopters and sniffer dogs, as well as 13 firefighters.
