Photovoltaic system opens

In March 2024, the municipal administration inaugurated the photovoltaic system at the Municipal Events Center. The equipment should reduce your bill by between R$6 and 8 thousand reais, and can also distribute energy to other locations close to your facilities and represent even greater savings in the future.

The installation of the panels took place in 2023. In addition to the panels installed on the roof of Pavilion 1, there is also the construction of the engine room, transformer and electrical installations.

Family Farming Fair

The host pavilion for the Family Agriculture Fair was opened in March 2024 at the back of the City Hall. The new headquarters has tanks for cleaning and handling products, bathrooms, kitchen and the bays now have a marble finish. She is open on site on Fridays, from 3pm until dusk.

Restinguense education is a pioneer

The Manuel Albino Carvalho School (MAC), located in the town of São Miguel Novo, in the Quilombola Area, became, in 2024, the first school in the interior of municipalities in Rio Grande do Sul to have daycare and full day care, for students from the 1st to the 5th year. academics. The community’s demand became a reality with the Tia Zilá and Vó Toti rooms, which pay homage to Maria Zilá Carvalho and Leonir da Rosa, respectively.

The composition “Por entre o vai das Orelhas”, representing the city of Dom Pedrito, became the Candeeiro champion, composed by Getúlio Santana Silva, and set to music by Cícero Fontoura, who performed it alongside Gabriel Tadielo.

On Iberê’s 110th anniversary, the Restinga Sêca Culture House will be inaugurated

In 2024, Iberê Camargo, illustrious son of Restinga Sêca, would turn 110 years old. His birthday will only take place in the month of November, when activities are scheduled to be carried out in the Municipality, honoring the memory of the famous painter, who lived in the old facilities of the Railway Station, together with his parents, workers on the local railway, which makes part of the Porto Alegre-Uruguaiana section.

It is also in this context that, this year, the construction of the Dr. Miguel de Patta Building will be inaugurated and handed over to the community, which operated, at the end of the 1920s, as an Italian doctor’s clinic, in addition to being the headquarters of the municipal administration, until the beginning of the 90s. Currently, the company responsible for the historic restoration work is working on detailing the building, completing paintings and other small renovations necessary at this stage.

The building will receive the symbolic name of Casa de Cultura Iberê Camargo, becoming a space dedicated to valuing the most diverse arts, such as dance, visual arts and music, in addition to having a museum collection of sports pieces and journalistic articles. local.

Polyclinic guarantees population access to specialized health services

In 2023, the Municipal Polyclinic of Restinga Sêca was opened by the Department of Health, being responsible for offering specialized health services to the population.

Meeting the demands arising from the municipality’s health units and also from the Hospital de Caridade São Francisco, the polyclinic today has gynecology, psychiatry, psychology, social assistance, speech therapy and physiotherapy services.
