This Wednesday (27), the Official Gazette of the MPMS (Public Ministry of Mato Grosso do Sul) published the opening of an investigation to determine the regularity of services provided at the USF (Family Health Unit) in Jardim Noroeste, in Campo Big.

According to information from the investigation, it is noted that an inspection of the unit revealed a large shortage of medicines and supplies. The lack of two nursing technicians was also identified.

During the inspection, 5 other problems were recorded, such as infiltration, lack of rulers and otoscopes. Sesau (Municipal Health Department) was ordered to present the necessary clarifications within 20 days.

The investigation was signed by prosecutor Daniela Cristina Guiotti, on March 22. Sesau sent a note, clarifying:

“The unit’s staff is complete, and there are currently no vacancies. To maintain the supply of inputs, the municipality has routinely opened purchasing processes, restarting them whenever the previous one ends. At this moment, the Municipal Health Department is awaiting the delivery of at least 54 medicines and supplies, in addition to several others that are awaiting publication in a notice of the auction date, which should also take place this month. It is important to highlight that, as mentioned, the purchase of medicines to supply the Municipal Health Network is done on a scheduled and permanent basis, regardless of the manifestation of the control bodies, and that some factors can influence the regularity of supply, such as the lack of raw material on the market, as well as delays in delivery by suppliers and bureaucratic obstacles in bidding processes”.
