Actor and former federal deputy Alexandre Frota is among the volunteers who are using jetskis to rescue flood victims in Canoas, Rio Grande do Sul. He shared records of the rescues he carried out of families and animals, who were stranded on the roofs of houses days ago.

Amanda Martins, the victim the actor saved, made a post thanking: “We thank everyone involved, as it wasn’t just one person but PEOPLE. I am grateful that at the time we needed it, because the boat we were on was damaged, he [Alexandre Frota] showed up and helped us rescue 3 of our dogs, my sister-in-law and our friend Lauro (who stayed to bring our other 2 dogs). But we know that with all the resources it has, it can do much more! Thank you, I hope that in the next few days he will come back and save more than 3 animals.”
