On Wednesday night (1st), Fernanda Medrado announced the birth of her daughter, Amber. The rapper, however, said that doctors have not yet given an estimate of when the girl will be discharged due to a small health problem that is common among newborns.

“She was going to be discharged from the hospital yesterday, May 1st, but the doctor didn’t release it. Amber is in the incubator and will stay here under the doctor’s observation. There is no release date yet, it depends on the next tests. She was born with jaundice” , he detailed, in an interview with Leo Dias.

Neonatal jaundice is caused by an increase in the concentration of bilirubin in babies. In the first days of life, there is a common and expected increase in the production of bilirubin due to the shorter durability of red blood cells in the newborn’s body.

Furthermore, the liver’s ability to eliminate bilirubin is limited due to the immaturity of the liver system in children. Specialists then closely monitor these levels, as high levels of the substance can cause toxicity in the child’s nervous system.

Fernanda Medrado only announced that she was pregnant on the 29th, on the eve of Amber’s birth. At the time, she said that she discovered the pregnancy of her third heir 15 days after undergoing liposuction, when she began to feel severe pain.

She became pregnant five days before the surgery, but during the procedure, doctors did not identify the fetus in the celebrity’s body.
