“It was January 22nd. I had spent the weekend with a weird headache and backache. Feeling weird. On Monday, I suffered all day with back pain (very intense, it came in waves, like shocks) in my lower back and hips. And then I started to feel like I had a fever”, he comments.
“In this photo I was measuring my fever and feeling bad. I went to the Emergency Room and didn’t leave for 34 days. Two days later I was already undergoing chemo. It was LMA [leucemia mieloide aguda]”, he highlighted. In the image, she appears lying on a bed.
Another follower asked how Fabiana managed to “be strong” after discovering the disease, and she responded. “Being strong is my only option. So I can get through all this and get my life back,” she said.

‘Very difficult days’
Still responding to her followers, Fabiana Justus explained that she faced “very difficult” days and explained why she avoided talking about them.
“I ended up speaking lightly… because my intention here is to bring lightness and strength to those who are going through this. But they were VERY difficult days. Nausea, weakness, mucositis (worst part). Post-transplant mucositis affects the entire tongue, throat, esophagus, intestine… It hurts a lot and takes a long time to go away because it only goes away when the marrow is attached”, he highlighted.
Diagnosis of Fabiana Justus
On January 25th of this year, Fabiana revealed have been diagnosed with leukemia acute myeloid and spoke about the discovery in a video posted on social media. According to the influencer, she was hospitalized with ‘a weird pain in her back and a fever’. From then on, she was hospitalized, underwent tests, had the catheter inserted and began chemotherapy.
On March 27th, Fabiana said she found a donor 100% compatible with her and that he would undergo the long-awaited bone marrow transplant. After 13 days, she reported that she managed to ‘get it’ and progressed in the treatment, being discharged from hospital on April 16.
