The singer Anita31 years old, released his new album, Funk Generation, in the early hours of this Friday, the 26th. At the beginning of the day, the project was already among the most talked about topics on X, the old Twitter. In a press conference, she revealed that she “almost died” in the process of creating the collection.

“I came up with the idea for this album after it became popular with To involve. In 2022, I worked so much and took zero care of myself that I started to get very sick. To this day I still don’t have an explanation of what happened to me. I had to be tested for cancer, several things. I was very sick, I don’t know if it was a ‘voodoo’ they played on me, I don’t know. I just know that I felt really bad. I thought I was going to die,” said the singer.

“When I thought I was going to die, I said: ‘Well, since I’m going to die, I’m going to make an album that doesn’t matter if it’s going to be successful or not, I’m really going to die, I’m going to make an album that I listen to and say ‘I I’m really cool’. This album doesn’t follow the formula of what is successful today. It follows cohesion in my head, which I was in the mood for at the time”, he detailed.

After finishing the work, a new challenge appeared for her: the difficulty of placing it on the platforms. Linked to a record label, she explained that there are bureaucratic and financial processes that often delay releases. She states that she had to “put her foot down” for the album to be released in her own way. The highly risqué lyrics were a concern.

“What matters is the desire to dance. It doesn’t matter what they’re saying. Everyone is f*cked up, everyone is trans*. When these lyrics are sung by men, no one says anything. There’s never so much militancy when it’s a man writing lyrics like that. There are even worse funk things out there. When it’s a man, it’s really cool. When it’s a woman, they say: ‘Look at the message that’s being sent by women’.

“At this point in the championship, I just want to have fun and enjoy. My messages as a human being, as a person, I command in real life, setting an example as a person. I set this example in life”, she added, referring mainly to the song Savage Funkwhich contains the phrase “Fuck*, son of a bitch*!”, being followed by the word “Fuck*” numerous times.

Currently, Anita says she feels fulfilled. Performing well inside and outside the country, she believes that this album is the missing piece to consolidate her as an international artist. One of her wishes, at the moment, is to take a break from her career, enjoy and experience the fruits of everything she has sown.

“I’m crazy about taking a break, actually. It depends a lot on my emotional state at the moment. I already feel free to make this choice whenever I want. I’ve already accomplished everything I was supposed to accomplish and a little more. I already feel in this right, of having nothing left to prove, of having already destroyed it”.
