Mato Grosso do Sul confirmed 29 new cases of Covid-19 in the last week. The number of deaths remained stable. In 2024, the State accumulates 9 thousand confirmed cases of the disease and 61 deaths, so far.
According to data from the epidemiological bulletin of the SES (State Department of Health) released this Tuesday (23), of the 197 cases registered in the State, 48 in Aral Moreira and 42 in Campo Grande, in addition to 35 in Anastácio and 18 in Dourados, the majority are cases held back from previous weeks and which were not closed on the correct date, being registered only now.
Vaccination
In MS, 80% of the population is immunized with the monovalent dose of the vaccine against Covid-19, a percentage below the 84% in the country. Considering age groups, the elderly are those who have been most immunized, but the percentage of those who have taken the booster of the vaccine is low.
