Baixada Santista, on the coast of São Paulo, participates in the national flu vaccination campaign (Influenza) until may 31st. The program also includes bedridden people who cannot travel to a health unit to receive the vaccine.

Bedridden patients are considered to be those who require healthcare within their home and who have mobility difficulties. The cities in the region that apply the vaccine at home are Guarujá, São Vicente, Santos, Cubatão, Itanhaém and Praia Grande.

See below how to schedule vaccination at home in each city:

Residents of Santos can have access to vaccination at home for bedridden people until April 15th. The family member or caregiver must register at the reference polyclinic at the bedridden patient’s address, from Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 4 pm.

You must present a document with the patient’s photo, proof of residence and medical report. In addition to the flu vaccine, the Covid-19 vaccine can be scheduled at home.

Patients from the Santos City Hall Home Care Section do not need to register, as they are already automatically included. For other patients, registration is required, even if they have already been treated in previous years.

Guarujá City Hall began vaccinating bedridden patients against the flu last Monday (1). Vaccination for this public will continue until April 30th. Guardians or caregivers of bedridden people who are served by the city’s Municipal Health Department, in the Family Health Strategy (ESF), should look for the nearest unit.

For patients outside the ESF coverage area, home immunization can be scheduled from Monday to Friday, from 8am to 5pm, at the headquarters of the Hospitalization and Home Care Service (Siad), at Rua Buenos Aires, 226, in Mayan Village.

It is necessary to present ID, CPF, Unified Health System (SUS) card, proof of residence and identity document of the patient’s caregiver.

To schedule vaccination at home for bedridden people in Itanhaém, it is necessary to contact the reference Family Health Unit (USF) via telephone to schedule the vaccination.

Appointments can be made until the end of the national vaccination campaign, from Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 4 pm, in person at the nearest USF or via the telephone numbers provided in this link. You must present your SUS card and identification document.

According to the Cubatão Epidemiological Surveillance Service, those responsible for bedridden patients cared for by the municipal network should look for the nearest health unit to make an appointment by the day may 31st.

It is necessary to present an identification document for the bedridden patient. The request can be made from Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm.

According to Praia Grande City Hall, bedridden patients treated at one of the city’s 30 Family Health Units (Usafas) must wait for the health team at their homes to administer the vaccines.

Guardians or family members of patients who have recently become bedridden, who do not have a registration or have never been treated at a Usafa must look for the unit closest to their residence, register and wait for vaccination at home.

Scheduling can be done until the end of the national campaign, in may 31st. Opening hours are from Monday to Friday, from 9am to 4pm.

Flu vaccination for bedridden patients in São Vicente takes place through the program Better at Home. Vaccination for this public in the city takes place until may 31st.

Those responsible for bedridden patients in the city can request vaccination at home by calling the Primary Care Directorate (13) 3569-5714 or in person at the nearest health unit. It is necessary to inform the CPF.
