Rio Grande do Sul surpassed the 41 thousand deaths mark by Covid-19 on Sunday (18). This Monday (19), with the registration of another death, the state adds up to 41,010 victims of the disease.
From the first death recorded in the state to the last one, there were 909 days. The interval between the number of deaths from 40 thousand to 41 thousand was 71 days.

RS still has 2,728,181 cases of coronavirus, of which 3,196 are active.

Next to the average of Saturday (17), 616 cases, the number is the minor since December 30, 2022at a time when the state was suffering the impacts of the data blackout caused by a hacker attack on the Ministry of Health’s system.

Despite the significant drop in numbers, the state still treats coronavirus patients in hospitals. In intensive care (ICUs), there are 89 adults and 14 children with confirmed or suspected disease. In infirmary vacancies, 229 adults and 32 minors are still hospitalized.
all in all, 9,344,676 people received two doses (from CoronaVac, Pfizer or AstraZeneca vaccines) or a dose of the Janssen regimen. The number is equivalent to 86.45% of those over five years old, a public suitable for this stage of vaccination in the state.
