The supposed woman who inspired the character Martha in the series Baby Reindeer finally spoke out publicly. In an interview with the journalist Piers Morgan to her YouTube channel, the lawyer Fiona Harvey denied the accusations of being a stalker and accused the creator of the plot, Richard Gaddof lying.

In the interview, Harvey said he is gathering evidence to take legal action against Gadd and the Netflix. “I didn’t write those emails. I think he probably made it all up.”

Despite claiming not to have seen the series, Harvey, who like Martha is Scottish and graduated in law, described the plot as “horrible and obscene”. She also has a record with the police for stalking someone.

In the series’ plot, the protagonist Donny (Gadd), a bartender who dreams of becoming a comedian, begins to be chased by a stalker named Martha. The story is inspired by the experiences of Gadd, who years ago suffered from the persecution of a woman.

Baby Reindeer is available on Netflix.
