Deputy Pastor Sergeant Isidório (Avante-BA) presented, this Wednesday, the 8th, a bill calling for the prohibition of the “practice, simulation or staging of explicit sexual acts” in shows and public events.

In the text of PL 1699/2024, presented a few days after singer Madonna’s performance in Rio de Janeiro, the parliamentarian also asks that artists, producers, contractors and sponsors of public events be considered responsible for performances with “libidinous acts” and calls for fines and imprisonment for those who commit offenses of this type.

“This proposed law aims to promote respect for moral values and human dignity, as well as to protect the physical and psychological integrity of citizens, especially children and adolescents, who may be exposed to sexually explicit content (be it heterosexual, homosexual or any modality), in public spaces or accessible to the public”, says the PL’s justification.

Also this Wednesday, during discussion and voting on legislative proposals by the Social Security, Social Assistance, Childhood, Adolescence and Family Committee, of which Partos Sergeant Isidório is a member, the parliamentarian expanded the arguments for the PL.

“Maybe the problem is not with the actress, the singer (Madonna). There is a lack of shame in this nation. We allow anyone, on public roads, to come here to masturbate, do that naughty thing, that brat , that sluttiness that was done in public… She should invite her partners, who like bitching and smut, to the motel with her. Those who like that shamelessness should go to a motel, to a rented farm with her. it can’t be in public. She has the right to do that at the motel, wherever she wants, with whoever she wants, and in her country”, said the deputy.

Finally, he concludes his thoughts by saying that Brazil needs to approve rules so that those who don’t want to see performances with simulated sex don’t watch them. He cites the Bible as an argument and says that nature demands respect from people, bringing “slippages, misery”.

“The Bible says not to put bad things in front of your eyes. That’s what the Bible says. That’s why you’re seeing some states there, you’re seeing everything that is a type of landslide, misery and nature demanding respect from people I think that that brawl, that debauchery, that niggling should have been inside a motel, with someone you like”, concludes the parliamentarian.

Motion to repudiate

Also on Wednesday, also at the Commission meeting, a motion of repudiation was presented to the Mayor of Rio de Janeiro, Eduardo Paes (PSD), and the Itaú Group, for sponsoring and holding a musical performance by the North American singer Madonna, in Rio de Janeiro, on the 4th.

“Due to the vilification of the faith of the majority of the Brazilian population, and the harmful content presented, with a strong erotic bias”, says the text. The authorship is by the following deputies: Chris Tonietto (PL-RJ), Clarissa Tércio (PP-PE), Cristiane Lopes (UNIÃO-RO), Dr. Allan Garcês (PP-MA), Julia Zanatta (PL-SC).
