The former Communications Secretary and now former President Jair Bolsonaro’s lawyer, Fabio Wajngarten, explained his trip to Madonna’s concert on Copacabana beach, on Saturday (4), after being criticized by Bolsonaro supporters, who consider the singer to be contrary to the ” family principles and values”.

On social media, he posted a photo of the singer with Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and wrote: “This is only for those who think they know everything, when in fact they know nothing.”

As a soundtrack, he played the song “Faz o L Jumento”, by Banda Nervosa, who made a pagoda to provoke PT members by saying that they voted for Lula, but received “R$ 18 increase”.

Wajngarten was not the only Bolsonarista who was in the VIP area of ​​the singer’s show. Also attending the presentation were the governor of Rio de Janeiro, Cláudio Castro (PL), the hair and makeup artist of former first lady Michelle Bolsonaro, Agustin Fernandez, and senator Jorge Seif (PL-SC), who later apologized for going to the show.

According to Folha de São Paulo columnist Mônica Bérgamo, Wajngarten told interlocutors that Madonna “has always been by Israel’s side over the years”, and that he will be “always wherever Israel needs”.

Even so, in the comments, Bolsonarists continued with their criticisms.

The photograph shared by Wajngarten is from 2009, when the singer was in Israel for a concert and visited Netanyahu at his residence. On that occasion, the two lit candles and recited a blessing together. On October 9, 2023, two days after the Hamas terrorist attack on Israel, Madonna spoke out on social media. She expressed that what was occurring was “devastating” and requested prayers “for Israel. For peace. For the world.”
