Sandy announces career break with benefit shows for RS victims

Singer Sandy announced that she will take a break from her career, but will use the shows to do good. She shared on social media, this Tuesday (8), that there will be two performances in São Paulo and all money raised from ticket sales will be donated to victims of the floods in Rio Grande do Sul.

“I’m coming here to join these thousands of hearts squeezed with so much sadness with all this devastation in Rio Grande do Sul. I’ve already helped several times, I’ve already made some donations, I’ve also shared many ways to help, but I felt like I could do more and that I needed to do more and that I needed to do more,” she said.

According to Sandy, she decided to give new meaning to the moment in the face of the natural disaster with so many people losing homes in the South. “I was about to announce two concert dates, because I wanted to announce that I was going to take a break, a hiatus from the stage, but I wanted to say goodbye to my audience better, I wanted to be close, I wanted to give my audience a big sonorous hug and I decided to give a new meaning to this moment, so I’m going to donate all the income we earn from the sale of tickets for the two shows to this cause” , he highlighted.

She added: “We are seeing, my team and I, the best way for this help to reach us effectively and we are going to do it. […] The shows are in São Paulo and those who cannot attend are looking for any way to help. Together we are stronger!”

In the caption, she also explained a little more about her departure from the stage: “Calm down, I’m not going to disappear completely.
