The queen of pop, Madonna, arrived in Brazil last Monday (29), at Tom Jobim International Airport, in Rio de Janeiro. The singer is staying at the Copacabana Palace, facing Copacabana Beach, where she will perform on Saturday (4).
With reports of fans staying and surrounding the hotel to see the artist, the establishment created a scheme to preserve their privacy, with fences covering the pool. In addition, the local restaurants are also closed to visitors, according to information from Folha de S. Paulo.
Madonna and her team, of at least 200 people, occupy around 90 rooms at the hotel. The queen of pop is in an Ocean View Penthouse Suite. She rented the entire sixth floor of the hotel, with seven presidential suites. The penthouses, with sea views, are more than 100 m² and cost from R$8,500 per night.
Among the perks of the hotel’s main suites are a king size bed, 24-hour butler and a black-bottomed pool, the “Black Pool”. In these rooms, personalities such as Princess Diana, Gisele Bündchen and Barack Obama, for example, have stayed.
On Monday (29), the singer’s dancers published images in the hotel pool on social media, celebrating the birthday of one of them, Marvin Gofin. Furthermore, another moment that gained attention on the networks was the attempt by socialite Narcisa Tamborindeguy, a neighbor of the luxury hotel, to communicate with Madonna using a megaphone.
Joining Madonna and her team are four of her children, David, Mercy, Stella and Stere, who appeared at the opening show of her “Celebration” tour in London.
