Auto da Compadecida 2 stars Selton Mello and Matheus Nachtergaele Laura Campanella / Disclosure

Rio – The first teaser for the film “O Auto da Compadecida 2”, starring Selton Mello and Matheus Nachtergaele, was released by H2O Films and Conspiração, this Thursday. In the production, scheduled to premiere on December 25th, João Grilo (Matheus) and Chicó (Selton) meet again 20 years after the first feature, based on the classic by Ariano Suassuna, in the mythical city of Taperoá. Together, the characters embark on new adventures, while the plot is driven by the friendship between the two.

In the film, Virginia Cavendish returns as Rosinha and Enrique Diaz as Joaquim Brejeiro, and some of the new characters that move the story forward are played by Taís Araújo, who will play the role of Our Lady, a role that was played by Fernanda Montenegro, Humberto Martins, Luis Miranda, Eduardo Sterblitch and Fabiula Nascimento. The original script is by Guel Arraes and João Falcão, with collaboration from Adriana Falcão and Jorge Furtado.
