Cervejaria Albanos completes 28 years of history in May this year and, in addition to announcing the expansion of the Factory and an exclusive project in the new unit of Bar do Lopes, in Savassi, it announced that it will close its activities at the bar on Rua Puim-Í , in Sion. This Tuesday (30) will be the last date of operation of the site.

Through a press release, the brand announced that it has focused on the production of beer and draft beer lines. With the success of the strategy, which included the launch of 45 labels that received more than 30 national and international awards, the brand ended up considering the closure of the bar as a “natural path”.

“Back in 1996, we opened the first taproom in the city and it was a big deal. We brought from Ribeirão Preto, the birthplace of Mr. Albano – founder of Choperia Pinguim, all the draft beer technology, which ranges from transportation, storage, correct equipment, among other procedures”, stated the brand’s director, Rodrigo Ferraz.

“Albanos draft beer has become an icon, awarded more than 30 times as the best in Belo Horizonte. We went through several stages, from long lines at the door, to beer towers for birthdays, thousands of tulips and dishes served. The feeling is of accomplishment and we are moving on to a new stage”, added the company representative.

Unprecedented partnership

Without its own bar, Albanos also detailed the partnership with Savassi’s Bar do Lopes. Customers who come to the establishment will have the option of five draft beer taps, including Pilsen, Albanos Life Lager and a tap dedicated to the IPA style, as well as seasonal and new releases.
