research reveals depreciation table of the most expensive

-

A survey carried out by Mobiauto revealed the depreciation of a category of vehicles that is the dream of many people, luxury cars. Analyzing 37 cars, all above R$300,000, the results showed which models lost the most value and even some that gained.

As a result, the survey on the devaluation of luxury cars reached a positive average for the category, 10.15%, which is a positive result considering that, historically, these imports have always had steeper depreciations – points out Mobiauto.

  • All luxury cars analyzed are model years 2022 and 2015.

I want to highlight two fundamental points in this research. The first consists of the general average devaluation, around 10% in one year, which I consider positive, since high-luxury imports show, with this result, that they are completely inserted into the reality of the pre-owned market. But we cannot fail to highlight these models that topped the ranking. Imagine that you purchased a Toyota SW4 or a Porsche Macan a year ago. And today these SUVs are worth around R$25,000 to R$30,000 more than the amount paid. Incredible!”, points out economist Sant Clair Castro Jr., automotive consultant and CEO of Mobiauto.

In contrast to this positive view are the depreciation rates, which are above 17%. For them, specialist Sant Clair makes another observation.

It’s mathematical: you purchased a Land Rover Discovery a year ago, using the same criteria as the previous example, and saw your capital drain by more than R$130,000.”, he concludes.
