The story of Andréa Rosa de Lorena’s murder began to be recorded in 2007, when the crime took place, but the episode was never shown. Seventeen years later, the Direct line rescues and updates the files, generating a new opportunity for justice to be done. The happiness of a family from Paraná with the arrival of a baby was suffocated by the grandmother’s cruel plans. The 23-year-old was killed amid a dispute with her own mother over custody of her son.

Tânia de Lorena, who is on the run, is accused of murdering her own daughter, with the help of her partner, to take custody of her grandson, Lucas. The victim lived in harmony with her mother and son, until she suffered a serious motorcycle accident. Andréa started to live with her father, Ivo, as Tânia said she was unable to take care of her. But the grandmother doesn’t give up on her grandson, and so a fight begins over custody of the boy that would have a tragic end. Under the command of Pedro Bial, this week’s episode features testimonies from Ivo Rosa, Andréa’s father, and Juliano Saldanha, the victim’s widower.

“Linha Direta” is presented by Pedro Bial, artistic direction by Gian Carlo Bellotti, general direction by Dudu Levy and Fellipe Awi and genre direction by Mariano Boni. The final writing is by Pedro Bial and production is by Nathalia Pinha and Anelise Franco. The program premieres on April 18th and will be shown on Thursdays, after “Os Others”, on TV Globo.
